CEDRO - PROFUMO DI LEGNO

Appartenente al genere Cedrus e alla famiglia delle Pinacee, il cedro del Libano è una conifera/sempreverde coltivata ampiamente anche nel Nord Italia sebbene sia originaria del Libano e della Siria. Il legno che se ne ricava si caratterizza per un profumo fortemente balsamico sprigionato dalla resina e si distingue per il suo naturale effetto antitarmico. Belonging to the Cedrus genus and the Pinacee plant family, the cedar of Lebanon is an evergreen conifer grown throughout Northern Italy although it was originally from Lebanon and Syria. Its main feature is its height, which can reach 40 metres with a trunk diameter of as much as 2.5 metres. Its wood has a strongly balsamic scent released by its resin, which is a natural moth killer.
